Are You Highly "Sensitive"?

Do you feel like you reflect on things more than anyone else? Do you feel worry about how other people feel about you? Do you prefer less chaotic or quieter environments? Do you think about your relationships, friendships too much? Nowadays, these things are very normal especially in "Young-Adults" of age 18-22. And, if you feel this way, you may be a highly sensitive person. It isn't bad to be "sensitive", in fact being sensitive carries various kinds of positive characteristics. There are many things which may be different in a person who is "highly sensitive" & the other person who is not "sensitive" (Yes, their are people like that, too). The most "common" characteristic in the people who are highly sensitive is to feel more deeply more than the people who are less-sensitive. I, myself being a "highly sensitive" person, we tend to process things on a very deep level. If we think about the something, we think about that thing, we think about every perspective, how's it gonna go, what happens if this doesn't & sometimes we "over-think" it & make ourselves sad. But, that happens like "once in a blue moon". People who are highly sensitive often react more to a situation. For example, they would feel more concern for a friend who is facing a problem. That's not it, they also have more concern about how the other person can do a bad thing to them or a person who is close to them.

26 Signs You're A Highly Sensitive Person
( You Absorb Everyone's Emotions)

You see, depending on the society that we live in, sensitivity can be taken as a very good thing, an asset or a bad thing, a negative trait of a person. Well, i was watching this program on the "Discovery Channel.", by which i thought i should write about that, in that program a guy "Zeff", a researcher, says that the highly sensitive people he interviewed from countries such as "Thailand" & "India", were rarely or never teased while people who are highly sensitive from countries such as "North America" were frequently or always getting bullied, which leads to a longer time in making decisions, actually they are much more aware of the details of the problem which makes harder for them to take decisions. For example, many people would find it easy to choose a flavor of an "Ice-Cream", it is easy, right? but, people who are highly sensitive will tend to a long time as they are they are weighing every possible outcome & as i saw this on the program, i felt amazed because yes, i have felt that way too. Once a highly sensitive person has come to a conclusion of what is right & what is wrong, he/she would be quicker in making "right" decisions in future. But, if they make a "bad" decision, it takes a lot of time to get back into their normal being.

The myth of "sensitive" people being introverts, as i said, it is a myth. I have seen many of my friends who are highly sensitive but are like "open" to everybody, they enjoy the little things that are happening around them, which makes the a good team player. They won't be the person who will make final decision but would be highly-instrumental in talking about what decision the decision maker should take. But, the most dangerous aspect of "highly sensitive" people are that they are more prone to anxiety & depression. Everyone has a fair amount of bad experiences in their lives, but a person who is highly sensitive, if anything happens to him/her, they tend to go in a shell for a while, they feel nervous, in their homes, school, their nervous system is set to "anxious."

But, the main thing that i really wanted to say that "People who are less-sensitive should not step-aside from highly sensitive people, they are humans too, so what if they have emotions more than you or they care too much for you "Don't mistake their sensitivity as their weakness".

IF YOU BELIEVER YOU ARE A HIGHLY SENSITIVE PERSON AND READING THIS, DON'T HIDE OUT, YOU ARE VERY STRONG! :)

The Icky Bad Feeling You Get!

From some days now, i have been trying to write something but everything that i wrote in previous couple of days but nothing was going my way. I have never felt this way, never have i felt so miserable in my life, till now. People ask me, Why? Sometimes you see, you yourself doesn't know the reason of this icky feeling you get.  Lately, i have been feeling that "When you need someone, no one is around you". You see, Life changes a lot, the person you think who was there with you & for you, the next moment they are far away from you, the happy moment just you were in, is turned into sadness in a moment. Well, still in this moment i get some bits of good moments, thanks to F.R.I.E.N.D.S & SHERLOCK! It's been a hard week for me, while i got the best news that "My sis is getting back on her feet from all that she has gone through" & i'll say "All the best" for it.  Feeling down or some people say, feeling blue is a part of life.

There are some circumstances that put us down & we feel low. Whether the reason are the people who let us down, things go wrong. We have to bring ourselves up, no questions about but it takes time, you may be smiling from outside but a pinch of sadness you have inside you.  Deep down, i feel & i often wish i felt "happy" all the time, or at least more often we do . I mean, who enjoys feeling badly? I know, i know, this looks unrealistic yet we strive for it  Sometimes i wonder & it must be all, who wonder is anything wrong with us? Even small amount work makes me stressed. Even, writing this is making me feel stressed & i feel my brain is somewhere else. No, not Disneyland. In this state of mine, for most of the time i'm frustrated, angry. Sometimes, i snap at others & i have lost some of my friends because they have taken it personally. I know, it was my mistake. But, the situation i am in, they ought to see or just listen what am i feeling.

I am not at all feeling comfortable! I wanted to write many things but i'm losing concentration in his bad feeling of mine. I hope i find peace in my head. I conclude my post here!

Book Review - "Christian Bale : The Inside Story Of The Darkest Batman"

Book Name - Christian Bale : The Inside Story Of The Darkest Batman
Pages - 312
Genre - Biography
Author - Harrison Cheung
My Rating -  ****

The World knows "Christian Bale" as an awesome & one of the most talented actors the world has seen. World has also seen his other side in bits & pieces & some of his anger-management issues. With some of the things i have read before hat made me believed that Bale is a little spoiled brat & feels a bit entitled, but fans like us have ignored such things because of his acting skills on the screen & we know the energy he has which attract the audiences to go & watch him on the big-screen. Be it, "American Psycho", "Empire Of The Sun", "Batman Trilogy" or the most recent one "American Hustle".

Harrison Cheung, who is the author of this biography actually spent nearly 10 years as Bale's, Personal Assistant. The book tells you his honest take on the star's life. Reading Cheung's time & life spent with Christian Bale, you will get to know that better & you would understand  what makes the actor awesome. But, given the fact that how he is improving as an actor & all his good traits, you'll see that Bale's negatives are still there, while you will have sympathy  when you will come to know the interesting facts that only a person like Cheung, who was so close to him, would know. After spending so much time with Bale & his family, he was also considered "family" by bale, but his father was the one who appreciated him the most. He was like the most liked Warrior of David's Crusade to make Christian Bale, a big superstar. Cheung calls David, a self-described-con-artist, who's biography has already been made up.

Having full trust earned from his father, he is friendly with Bale & he says that anyone can be friendly with him.  "This is an unlikely but true account of simple fan who becomes a real-life Alfred. From Canadian pen-pal, to sitting in the bat cave of Bale's Manhattan Beach home planning world domination. From humble beginnings, to a decade long relationship managing the un-manageable. Working without compensation for nearly 10 years, Harrison describes his duties evolving quickly from Internet Marketing Manager to Personal Assistant and Publicist--even doing cooking and laundry at times for the unorganized star and his Father."

Some Interesting Outcomes Of The Book Are :
  • Learn about Bale's unconventional childhood , unhealthy relationship with his parents & his fascination with decay.
  • See how Christian was practically forced into acting , & why he is a man without a country.
  • Hear how his early movies bombed & how they were instrumental in making him a star.
  • The moment an actor finally fully embraced his career by fighting for his role & getting the role in American Psycho & also what gave him the will-power to starve himself for his most unusual role in The Machinist
  • His rivalry with actors like Ethan Hawke, Leonardo DiCaprio & how he owes his rise to stardom to his internet fans.
  • The main thing, the book will tell you the journey of an actor from an average actor to "The Dark Knight", "The Batman".

This is great read with an honest approach & completely void of any basic tabloid mentality. Fans of Batman & Bale would surely want this in their library.
