Some Memories Of My Life

Memory #1-

Umm, well it's been a while i posted something here, so i thought why not take you to a journey of my regular days, when i was in college. The story takes place, 1 & a half years back when we were practicing for a play we had to do in our college. We were thinking to set the bars high now, we should do something that's not been done till now. What i had in my mind is a idea & also a passion to do a role, which i think has never been performed on stage. I gave that idea to my friends & my sir, my friends completely loved it, but my sir, asked, Can you really do it? to which, i said, we will try our level best. then, we got the permission to do it. The play was based on the novel & the movie "American Psycho", the story of a guy named "Patrick Bateman" who is a investment banker & his life mainly revolved around expensive dinners & keeping up his appearance with his fiancee & his other wealthy friends. but, he's got a dark side too, he is a complete psycho, loves to watch porn, kills ladies & anyone who comes between the things he wants. the movie & the novel were a hit & got a "cult" rating attached to it, since their release. The hardest part, was to maintain the consistency the novel & movie maintained, because till now, theatre has never shown such bold scenes in a play. I cannot tell, about foreign theatre, but in India it has never been done.

So, we studied all the facts of the movie & the novel, to get the same intensity in the role & in the play. After having, enormous of meetings, we finally thought of casting. So, all the people shouted my name to play the lead role, i was happy & was very happy, that it's been my dream to play this role. So, when all the things were done, the script was ready, the dialogues & everything. We were ready to practice. So, as we started the practice, a call from our colleges' director comes, that they are calling all of us into her cabin. We went & as we went in the office, the first thing she told us "Are you guys, mad??", we were like shocked, we asked "Why, mam?", She said, "You're going to do a play in which, you have shown everything, you mean everything?. To which, i said, "Yess, mam..!! We are going to do it & we are not showing everything, not any intimate body parts, Nothing. It's a complete Adult play, with no such things. But, we call it adult because, you will not see the things we are doing in this play. She was astounded, shocked & said, "Can you really do this, in front of an Indian Audience. To, which my friend said, "Mam, our audience is much more evolved than we think. They're gonna love it. Mam, also said "Yes" & we got back to our practice. As the days, went by the scene which i had to first, is to stand under the shower in which whole back is exposed from toe to head, i said i'll do it & i did, to which one of my teacher said, "So, you are really gonna take it higher this time" & you're gonna kill some women in the audience, when this scene appears, to which i laughed  & said, haha, yess mam, sure..!!  :D

Then, after some days, we were rehearsing, then a scene a came upon where i had to kiss my partner. I was really, nervous at that time, obviously, kissing in front a public is frightening. But, had to do it. So i said, to my partner that, i've never kissed anyone before, to which she said, don't worry i'll show you & i just kept looking at her face & well, as we proceeded to this scene there was stunned silence in the auditorium & for the first time i kissed somebody, whether it was a play scene or anything, i kissed a girl  & for an hour, i kept on thinking that "Did i really do that??". But, that was just the beginning. But, the biggest challenge was yet to come, in the role, as i said he is a psycho, kills ladies, so i had to kill a lady with an axe, with half of my body in blood, well in real it was just red paint, i had to run before a girl with just an underwear on & as i come to my character to seriously & start shouting, the girl begins to cry & says, "Don't Do It..!! Mom, look he is trying to kill me..!!" & i just got back, threw my axe down & came near her to console her that im just acting, she just moved back saying, "No, don't kill me".. I was in complete shock.  All the people said, please step aside, she'll get normal in sometime. As, i step backwards, one of my friend said, that she gets nightmares of this scene & she feels like you'r really going to kill her. To listen to this i felt astounded, i was speechless..!! At one hand, i was worried for that girl, but on the other hand, i felt did i really got too much in the character that she thinks, im really gonna kill her..!! After, some hours, i went to her & told that, i am just acting & if i don't do it with my intensity, then there is not point of having this scene..!! Next day, we did that scene again & she had to fight back, as she did, she just punched me straight in my face literally, so hard that i got down & was literally, seeing stars in broad daylight & i said "Now you tell me, that i was trying to kill yo or you were?" to which all laughed, but there was red patch on my left cheek, i still get that "Owww" feeling when i even think of that.

The rehearsals were in its last phase, we just had to do our last scene in which, i had to look miserable & crying, so i had to put some glycerin in my eye & i shouted oh god, what is it, is it redd chilly that you have put in my eyes. But, it gor mixed well & i did, the thing was i didn't needed glycerin & some tears came from glycerin & but other came naturally, from heart, by feeling the misery of this man, trying to get into a normal life with normal people..!! As we finished, we were proud on ourselves that we had done this boldest thing on the indian stage.

This is how my life revolved when i was in my college doing plays & all..!! Having the best moments in my life..!! We all have such moments in our life. Some are thrilling, some are intimate, some are happy, some are sad..!! It's all about how to tackle these problems..!! But, please don't go & try killing ladies or people.  :P

Go, Live Your Life..!! Have Fun..!!  :)  <3  :D

I would love to hear from you..!! I love comments..!!  :D

The Day My Heart Skipped A Beat..!! My Icon, A Legend..!!

Well, this post i can also write in my "Sports" blog because it is related to someone who is related to sport. But, for me this guy was more than just a "Sportsperson". I think, you must have known till now who i'm talking about, The Man, The Legend..!! SIR "SACHIN TENDULKAR". Well this degree of "Sir" has not yet been given to him, but for me he was, he is & he will always be Sir Sachin Tendulkar. He is been playing for the country for 24 years continuously, some of us were not even born when a 16 year old boy, made his debut in Pakistan, against a formidable side "Pakistan" who had names like Waqar Younis, Imran Khan, Abdul Qadir, those who don't know, "Abdul Qadir" is known to be One of the greatest Leg-Spinners in Cricket, World has ever produced, the guy spinned a ball like a cyclone spins it's course. It was an exhibition match which happened side to side with the official series in 1989, he played Abdul Qadir like he already knew which ball he's gonna ball, a player would doubt to go out of the crease when Qadir bowled as he can spin the ball on his own terms, Tendulkar hit 2 consecutive sixes in the first 2 balls he faced from the leg-spinner & the leg-spinner became a fan of this young man & also when he played his 4th test he was hit on his nose with a bouncer from Imran Khan, but neglected any medical assistance & played on & moved on to make 53 crucial runs for his side. That proved that, this guy had some guts in it, to become a great player.

This incident happened in 1989, 3 years before when i was born. But, still everbody who seen him playing, he has made him a fan of his batting. I still remember, i was just 15 years old when i was picked up for my school cricket team to play in the inter-school tournament, i had a poster of the master blaster in my room which i got signed from him & i still have that poster hanging in a frame, its been 10 years now. I looked onto the poster & thought that, now i have to play like this man, well it was a silly thought, but yes, everybody wants to play like him. Next day, i went on to the field, as i was an opening batsman for my side, the first ball i faced was a bouncer which got on my shoulder & i went down as it hit me with a great force. I just thought, what happened with the young man who took a ball on his nose & was bleeding vigourously & still continued to play & i got up & i went on to make 112 runs in that match. So, Sachin's sheer commitment to the game made a million people like me to play with the same passion, well we can never match the passion he had for the game, but we can walk on the same path. I still remember, when that Ball Tempering case happened, when Sachin Tendulkar was accused of doing something with the ball & the matter was so hyped that, it was  believed that, he may suffer a life-ban from the game, but was cleared of all charges against him, when all the investigation was done. The country was relieved that their "God Of Cricket" has been cleared from all charges & he was back in his courtyard.

My personal experience is that, whenever Tendulkar came to crease for batting or on field, my face had a mysterious smile on it. I mean, it felt so much of pleasure to just see him on the screen, even if he had just come on screen & he is sitting outside in the dug out, my heart would feel 10 times happier than what is going on the field. These are some of Tendulkar's Innings which are Best for me :

1.  114 vs Australia in 5th Test, Perth  (1992)

2.  241 vs Australia in 4th Test, Sydney (2004)

3.  103* vs England in 1st Test, Chennai (2008)

4.  143 vs Australia in Triangular Series, Sharjah (1998)

5.  117* vs Australia in Commonwealth Bank Series - 1st Final, Sydney (2008)

6.  175 vs Australia in 5th ODI, Hyderabad (2009)

7.  163* (retired) vs New Zealand in 2nd ODI, Christchurch (2009)

8.  200* vs South Africa in 3rd ODI, Gwalior (2010)

9.  193* vs England in 5th Test Match, Headingley (2002)

10. 116* vs Australia in 2nd Test Match, Melbourne (1999)

These are only some of the best innings that i've ever seen so far. Some of the awards that Tendulkar got were "Padma Vibhushan: in 2008, "Padma Shri" in 1998, "Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award" in 1998, "ICC Player Of The Year" in 2010, "Wisden Cricketer Of The Year" in 1997 & "Wisden Leading Cricketer Of The Year" in 2010, "Order Of Australia" in 2013.

Some of the World's Leading Cricketers said some of the best things about Tendulkar. All were fans of his style hwether on the field or off the field. Some of those comments were:

"I saw him (Sachin) playing on television and was struck by his technique, so I asked my wife to come look at him. Now I never saw myself play, but I feel that this player is playing much the same as I used to play, and she looked at him on television and said yes, there is a similarity between the two...his compactness, technique, stroke production."
                                                                                                 "Sir Donald Bradman"

I have seen God, he bats at no. 4 for India"
                                                                                                 "
Matthew Hayden"

"The only batsman I would love to see by paying for the tickets and sitting in the stand just to watch him is none other than Sachin Tendulkar" and "Sachin is a genius. I'm a mere mortal"

                                                                                                       "Brian Lara"

"When you bowl at him you are not just trying to get him out, you are trying to impress him. 'I want him to walk off thinking 'that Flintoff, he's all right isn't he? I feel privileged to have played against him"
                                                                                                          "Andrew Flintoff"

"I was fielding in the covers when Tendulkar came out to bat in his debut Test at Karachi. I still remember Waqar Younis was in peak form at that time. Tendulkar tried to drive Waqar through the covers off his very first ball in Test cricket but was beaten all ends up. But I walked to captain Imran Khan and told him 'this kid looks very good' and Imran agreed with me."

                                                                                                               "Abdul Qadir"

These words are encouraging for any player. Tendulkar, never thought that he should retire when he is at his peak because he said in an inerview "That If i'm on top of my game, why should i retire? I should play for my country, so i can contribute more.". Sir, You Will Always Be Missed, Cricket is really incomplete without you. You're the Man, The Legend. SIR SACHIN TENDULKAR..!! I wish you all the best for 200th Test & we all will be cheering for you. You are my Icon, You are my GOD..!! :)  :')
AN ERA ENDS..!!  <3  <3

A Date With... LIFE..!!

Most of the people would feel, what kind of title is this..?? Well, they can be right at their part, as we have only thought of going out on a date with other people. Sometimes, it's better to go on a date with yourself too. Do a reality check on yourself. A very dear friend of mine, who is working in some MNC, i saw him everyday getting ready for his office, but somedays, he would look like he has put on his clothes straight after  coming out of the bed. But, sometimes he would look like a prince, who is all dressed up to see his princess in the royal kingdom of "Far Far Away". My curiosity, for asking him, that why somedays he looks awesome & while, on the other day he looks hopeless, i got an which i had in my mind, he said "The day when he is well dressed is because that day his girlfriend would come & has lunch with him, so mean like a date." I said, well that was an obvious answer. But, then a question striked to me & i asked him that what if your girlfriend surprise you by visiting your office when you're dressed, im sorry to say, "Awfully", he began to think what answer he should give.

Well, i had nothing against him, i say he can do whatever he wants to do & whatever he wants to wear, but why only we people dress superbly, while we are on a date with someone. Like, on a date we dress up so nicely, trying to look the best we can to the other person & we act in a way that our best is shown to the person who is sitting infront of us. But, why do we keep forgetting this in our normal days, in every moment of our lives. Another friend of mine, who works in a Call Centre, spends highly on his girlfriend, like for non-sense things but still spends highly & gets a salary of 15000 per month & not qualifying for MBA too, but still wears clothes which costs a fortune & also buys for his girlfriend, i said to him, "That if he would have studied better & not just ran before clothes & girlfriend, he would be having a much better life, that he has now". On other days, we wear almost anything, most of us even wear underwear with holes in them, this particularly follows for boys. Why cannot we behave like we behave when we go out for a date, on normal days? Like, when we are on a date, we go to an expensive restaurant, we sit & speak so gently with the waiters & even say thankyou & sorry to them, while on the other days, you are continuously screaming at them for getting late in serving of food, even when you know, that the dish you've ordered takes double the time but still you just scream & scream. When we are on a date, we first place a napkin on our thighs that shows how much table manners we have, while on the other days, we don't even see when something gets dropped on our clothes & we don't even care. Most important, how we try listen carefully to our date when he speaks but we dominate when we talk with our family.

By staging all these facts, which i've seen & some which i've only felt not seen, i seem to have make this conclusion that we look our best when we are on a date. But, i feel so-so sorry for the people, who are not our soulmates or we say, girlfriend's & boyfriend's, because we take them for granted. You need to be at your Best, everytime, to make a great impression on everyone. Anyone can fall in love with you, if you stay like that & then, you don't have to pretend to be someone else.

Just Be, who you are..!! LIVE LIFE FREELY & HAPPILY..!! KEEP SMILING ALWAYS..!!

"I would love to hear from all of you, what you think..!"
