Everyone would be keen to know, What is This FOSK? Don't worry i will tell you all about it in coming para's. everyone in life has his ambitions, dreams. We all, i.e., FOSK members, all had a dream of knowing somebody that would make our voices heard. We will meet someone, who would write something about the things that we think in our mind whether it's personal or professional. For us, that someone was a beautiful young lady, that can melt anyone's heart by her smile & can make you her fan with her simplicity. Now, i should tell you that lady is, Mrs. Sonal Kalra, the Editor of HT City & an Author. This is the first glimpse of her that you get. But, the second you meet her, it's all changed, because, when you meet her, she wouldn't treat you like a "FAN", she would treat you like a "FRIEND". So, FOSK stands for "Fans Of Sonal Kalra". But, we people take it as "Friends Of Sonal Kalra".
I've been in this for now 2 years almost, made some new friends & we all are like a FAMILY. Their is a ritual that we follow every year to do a FOSK Picnic, in which we all meet, who can come & join us for a day of wholesome entertainment & fun. We all meet, various times in a year, but this is the time when all of us meet at the same time. This ritual started in 2011, when the 1st FOSK Picnic held at Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi. At, that time i was not a part of it, as i didn't knew about this page & Sonal Mam. In March 2012, i joined this page & the rest is history. Sometimes in a group like this you feel as an "Outcast" but, No, in this group we all are equal, because we all know that "WE ALL ARE THE SAME" i.e., Insanely, Crazily Awesome People. Then, the day came when 2nd FOSK Picnic's date was finalized & that was the first time i was going to meet the whole of the "STAR CAST" of FOSK, was nervous & super-excited, to meet new people & most of all, Sonal Mam, it was like a "Dear Diary Moment" for me.. :P
I didn't knew how the picnic is conducted, so i go to FOSK page & i see posts coming from all FOSK members, to give attendance who all are coming, who will bring what, finalize the date, time & venue. It all got me toooooooooooooo excited. All the members, commenting that i'll bring this & i'll bring that, kept me wondering that i should also get something for all of them as this is my first time & it should be something special. Then, the day came & i still know the date, it was "6th October, 2012", when the picnic held. New faces everywhere, only few people i know. But, at th first instance i knew, they all are so nice people, the way they met me & they had conversations with me. I enjoyed every bit of it & we all enjoyed every second of it. But, the wait was for to Sonal Mam, to arrive. At, first you would think, will she really come, as the Editor-in Chief of HT City, they have to work continuously to bring up the news & also a person at this post, has really no time to go for a picnic on a working day. She came & as she spent time with all of us as it was first time for me & 2nd time for all of them, i was really surprised to see how grounded & awesome lady she is. Talking to all of us & spending a fun time of 2 hours with us. The best thing about picnic is "FOOD", the annapurna of our family, "Ritu Mam", always brings delicious food for all of us.Now, this is the story of the past, now i'll tell you about the present.
In recent times, FOSK has got a little low, as everyone gets busy in life, with work, family things. But, touch wood, we all have that intensity to be in touch with almost everyone, if not daily, but after every 1-2 days. This, the picnic was a little difficult to organize as many people were in-active from the page. But, we all thought, that now we should do this, we asked Sonal Mam, & we got a Green signal for picnic, now all we had to do is to write a post & invite people for it. At first, the intensity of the people was low. But later, all the people came out & got in this thing. Again, we all were seeing posts of who will bring what, who will be the official camera-man/woman of that day. So, at "28th December, 2013" we all gathered at "Lodhi Garden" to celebrate FOSK Picninc, as i call it "FOSK Picnic : Season 3". This time people were a li'l less, but the fun was still at its peak. We all were rally excited as we all will meet each other after a very long time. And, everybody turned up & some new faces even came & some faces that didn't came were badly missed. The cake was cut & we began singing, "Happy FOSK day to Us, Happy FOSK day to us". It was so delightful to see, all the happy people with a broad smile on their faces, laughing continuously as we talk to each other. But, the best thing that we all do is "Clicking Photographs" & mind it, lots of them. Different poses, Different places. We all wait for this day to come & we all say, that we don't want to go home. But, all things come to an end. This day, too. But, i just wish & i know, that this ritual of having "FOSK Picninc" every year, remains intact & one day we'll have "50th Annual FOSK Picnic".
They are all the most awesomest people in this world..!!
